ON DISPLAY U
A cross campus event to engage multiple departments within a university atmosphere to the ideas and intersections of dance, disability, and inclusion. This is our higher education program where campuses coalesce in discussion and performance of ON DISPLAY, spurred by multiple departments like Anthropology, History, Politics and Social Justice in addition to Theatre and Dance. ON DISPLAY U has created educational experiences at Texas Christian University, UC Santa Barbara, and University of Wisconsin, Madison. Currently, we have interest from Brandeis University, University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill, University of the Arts-Philadelphia and SUNY New Paltz. firstname.lastname@example.org
A Dynamic Portfolio of Works
ON DISPLAY is a deconstructed art exhibit/fashion show and commentary on the body as spectacle and society's obsession with body image. It turns a cast of diverse and extreme bodies into a sculpture court where the performers are the sculptures. ON DISPLAY began as a simple human sculpture court and is now a movement, a growing portfolio of works that explore and demonstrate inclusion through art.
